Modern Art Oxford presents the work of Miha Knific who uses photography and film to explore how we receive, understand and remember images. Knific's Storyboard series combines photographic images found or taken by himself with fragments of dialogue. In rewriting the context for these images in a manner suggestive of film storyboards, Knific questions the foundations upon which stories are built and the reality of how narratives exist in time.
Artist in Residence
The exhibition will be followed by a short residency in Oxford during August, which will enable Miha Knific to connect with artists' groups and communities within the city, and talk about his working process. He will also be involved in workshops that form part of Modern Art Oxford's Community and Education programme and participate in Braziers International Artists' workshop in Oxfordshire. www.braziers.orgARRIVALS>SLOVENIA is generously supported by Visiting Arts.
