Alnis Stakle's work combines different approaches to the medium of photography. Exploring the nature of self-portraiture and making reference to documentary reportage, his evocative images record the extraordinary in the everyday while exposing the reality of his daily existence.
Modern Art Oxford presents his first UK exhibition, including new work created during a residency at Modern Art Oxford in November 2005.
Alnis Stakle was born in 1975 in Daugavpils, Latvia, where he currently lives and works.
