CALLUM INNES: FROM MEMORY

13 FEBRUARY TO 15 APRIL - FREE ADMISSION

Callum Innes: From Memory brings together a selection of paintings produced by Innes over the last 15 years.

Callum Innes is one of Britain’s most prolific and rigorous painters. His practice as a painter is process based and involves the removal as well as the application of paint on to canvas. Innes is perhaps most well know for his on-going series of Exposed Paintings in which the canvas is divided geometrically into fields of painted and bare areas. Born in 1962, Innes lives and works in Edinburgh.

Callum Innes: From Memory is organised by The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh. The exhibition travels from Modern Art Oxford to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney in November 2007.
