Howard Hodgkin: Talks and Tours

Running alongside Howard Hodgkin: Time and Place, is a selection of talks and tours to guide you through the exhibition, and give you a better understanding into the work of one of the most distinctive painters of our time.
Join us for a tour on Thursday 8 July when artist Miranda Creswell will lead us through a whole decade of Howard's work, and again on Saturday 24 July led by Dr Rachel Wells, tutor in Fine Art at The Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art. Lunchtime tours are also available every Wednesday, and are given by members of the Modern Art Oxford team.
Exhibition tours at Modern Art Oxford are FREE, just turn up.
Andy Barker, artist and assistant to Howard Hodgkin for over 15 years will give a very special talk on Saturday 14 August. Andy regularly lectures on Hodgkin’s work and will give an insightful view into his practice and the new works in the exhibition. On Saturday 21 August join Sam Smiles, Emeritus Professor of Art History at the University of Plymouth for an illustrated talk on the exhibition.
