About the Author: Lisa Le Feuvre is Head of Sculpture Studies at the Henry Moore Institute. Between 2005 and 2009 she directed the contemporary art programme at the National Maritime Museum (NMM). Prior to her post at the NMM, she taught on the postgraduate Curatorial Programme in the Department of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. A regular contributor to journals, publications and exhibition catalogues, Le Feuvre also continues to undertake curatorial projects.

Rudi Fuchs is an art historian and writer. From 1974 to 2004 he was director of various museums including the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. 

Thomas Houseago (b.1972) is one of the most unique and distinctive contemporary sculptors working today. This is the first ever monograph of his work and spans the last fifteen years of his career. 

Born in Leeds, but now based in Los Angeles, Houseago has come to prominence in recent years with his monumental, figurative sculptures that are charged with remarkable energy and vitality.
