Pindrop Performances Presents:

1001 NIGHTS: Alexander Tucker, Flights of Helios, Yaldabaoth

26.05.2012 at 7:15 PM - 10:00 PM

Modern Art Oxford

This evening of live music takes inspiration from the Tangiers ‘Beat Generation’ and hallucinatory experience of Shezad Dawood’s New Dream Machine Project installation.

Fresh from performing the live score to an experimental cut of the Piercing Brightness film in Liverpool last autumn, British composer/noise artist Alexander Tucker presents his immense, minimalist sound alongside Flights of Helios’ dense, tripped out space pop and the ghostly musical collages of Yaldabaoth.

Don’t miss the free tour beforehand at 6pm: Matthew Graham Gregory, artist, writer and Lecturer in Contemporary Art History and Theory at the University of Central Lancashire, talks about the works in Piercing Brightness and their relationship to experimental music.
