This is a real joy. At long last a major Graham Sutherland exhibition. Too long has he and the other Neo-Romantics (as these British Landscape artists have been group now - it hardly seems a few years ago, that this name was coined).
As a Sutherland of over 3 decades there is a lot of pictures that even I have not seen. It shows the wide range of work that he has done. Also how the few pictures from the late 60's/70s showed the link from past to present.
Only disappointment is that I am unlikely to return to see more and look forward to receiving my catalogue as the shop had sold out on my arrival.
George Shaw has my vote of thanks for putting on this superb exhibition. Well Done!
