De/Install

22.02.2011 — 26.02.2011

Modern Art Oxford

Bang. Crash. Thump.

Sputnik presents De/Install, a group exhibition of works by finalists at the Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art in the Café and Basement of Modern Art Oxford.

The exhibition title alludes to the hidden activities of art institutions that take place between their shows. During this exhibition, a live de-install in the Upper Galleries will become the focus of works in a variety of media. Performances, talks and other events will accompany De/Install, interrogating this theme.

Artists include: Annabel Bertie, Kira Freije, Louis Jack, Poppy Illsley, Kinga Lubowiecka, Florence Mather, Emma McCormick-Goodhart, Claire Poulter, Peter Shenai, Jamie Sutton, Thomas Watson and Tom Williams.

Tuesday 22 February, 5-7pm - Opening of Sputnik: De/Install, including live performance. All welcome

Friday 25 February, 6pm - Talk by Richard Wentworth on Sputnik: De/Install. Free, just turn up
