Kicking off a new series of monthly Basement Sessions, this launch event incorporates local and national live acts, guest DJs and oblique films, bringing a heady mix of musical and visual exploration to the Basement at Modern Art Oxford.

Frenzied body art noise performance with pre-recorded ritualistic sounds accompanied by mixing and live noise adaptation. New Noveta are an offshoot configuration of band Maria & The Mirrors. Watch the video here.

Loud/Quiet post-rock sonic workouts from Oxford 'super group'. Quickly establishing themselves as artful purveyors of all things kosmiche and a genuine force to be reckoned with. 

The Manacles of Acid (live)

An Oxford tour de force, dusting down the murky past of far-out acid music to create something unique and special from a heady mix of analogue circuitry and cider. 

Tim Fairplay (DJ set)

Spinning influences from 80s synth, coldwave, soundtracks and post punk, expect brand new electro material currently receiving high praise in DJ Mag, from London-based Andrew Weatherall studio pal.
