Art in Rose Hill

Come and help brook & black, artists-in-residence on Modern Art Oxford’s Plot 16 Allotment, build a greenhouse from bamboo canes.

Afterwards there will be a picnic inside and around the structures as part of Lenthall Road Allotment Association summer party.

Suitable for all ages – the more the merrier! Please bring picnic treats and any spare bamboo canes.

Directions to Rose Hill

Click here for details of the City 4 bus from the city centre to Rose Hill.

On the day of the event, Sunday 12 September, there should be a City 4 bus leaving Stop D4 on Bonn Square at 1.30pm which gets to the Oval in Rose Hill at 1.47pm. The City 4 bus to Rose Hill also calls at the follow stops in the city centre: R7 on Park End Street (near the Rail Station), D1 on New Road (opposite the Castle mound) and K2 on the High Street (opposite the Old Bank Hotel).

The allotments are a short walk from the bus stop. Lenthall Road leads off the Oval. Follow the road around for about 5 minutes and you will come to the allotments (you'll see a set of metal gates at the end of a hedgerow). Buses return to the city centre in the afternoon every 20 minutes from the Oval and stop at Oxford County Hall Stop E4 on New Road.

Click here for driving directions from the Gallery on Pembroke Street to Lenthall Road. Limited parking is available along Lenthall Road near the allotments.
