The film illustrates pioneering British director and artist Derek Jarman’s unique approach to filmmaking, fusing intense bursts of colour with footage of the rural landscape.

Sleep Furiously is a bittersweet ode to Ceredigion, the Welsh farming community where director Gideon Koppel’s parents took refuge from the Nazi regime. The film shows a landscape and population in the throes of modernisation, coping with the transition from small-scale agriculture to mechanised farming.
