Tim Head in conversation
27.09.2013 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Tim Head’s work is full of carefully crafted contradictions. In his first exhibition at Modern Art Oxford in 1972 he ‘redrew’ the perimeters of the gallery space using a combination of projections and mirrors.
For his new work Displacement he presents a virtual object placed in a physical space. This 'in conversation' with curator Ben Tufnell will explore the impact of his early exhibition here in Oxford while examining the current and recent exhibitions.
Before joining Haunch of Venison in 2006, Tufnell was a curator at Tate where he organized many exhibitions, including: Hamish Fulton: Walking Journey (2002), the Turner Prize (2000, 2003) and the Art Now series (2004-06).
