An absorbing portrait of the seminal avant-garde composer, singer-songwriter, cellist and disco producer Arthur Russell. Before his untimely death from AIDS in 1992, Russell prolifically created music that spanned both pop and the transcendent possibilities of abstract art. Joining us to introduce the film and to talk about his recent biography of Arthur Russell Hold On to Your Dreams will be writer Tim Lawrence.

Electronic artist Jo Thomas will also be performing music based around Arthur Russell's works during the evening.
