{"id":53661,"date":"2013-10-01T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-08T09:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new-website.modernartoxford.org.uk\/cms\/events\/platform-2013\/"},"modified":"2022-12-14T11:29:33","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T11:29:33","slug":"platform-2013","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.modernartoxford.org.uk\/cms\/events\/platform-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Platform 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Created to support new artistic talent in the South East region, Modern Art Oxford presents the second annual exhibition, <em>Platform 2013<\/em>, which features the work of graduate artists from Oxford Brookes University, The Ruskin School of Drawing &amp; Fine Art, Oxford University and Reading University.<\/p>\n<p>The artists selected to participate are <strong>Dom Callaghan<\/strong> (<em>Ruskin School of Drawing &amp; Fine Art, Oxford University)<\/em>, <strong>Gemma Davies<\/strong> <em>(Oxford Brookes University)<\/em>, <strong>Louise Fitzgerald<\/strong> <em>(Reading University)<\/em>, <strong>Rosanna Reed<\/strong> <em>(<\/em><em>Ruskin School of Drawing &amp; Fine Art, Oxford University)<\/em>, <strong>Jakob Rowlinson<\/strong> <em>(<\/em><em>Ruskin School of Drawing &amp; Fine Art, Oxford University)<\/em> and <strong>Lewdjaw\/\/Jack Wilson<\/strong> <em>(Reading University).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The work exhibited includes sculpture, performance, painting, photography and video installation and addresses a diverse range of subjects from the relationship between the home and external environments to political stereotypes and fashion models wearing Russian football shirts.<\/p>\n<p><em>Platform<\/em> was devised in 2012 in collaboration with the Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East (CVAN), and is a partnership between four galleries: Aspex Gallery, MK Gallery,&nbsp;Modern Art Oxford&nbsp;and&nbsp;Turner Contemporary.
