{"id":53929,"date":"2017-07-19T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-08T09:51:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new-website.modernartoxford.org.uk\/cms\/events\/platform-2017\/"},"modified":"2022-12-08T09:52:01","modified_gmt":"2022-12-08T09:52:01","slug":"platform-2017","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.modernartoxford.org.uk\/cms\/events\/platform-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Platform 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Platform is an annual award designed to nurture new artistic talent by selecting and exhibiting work from art school graduates from the south east of England, providing\u00a0support through the critical period between graduation and life as a professional artist.<\/p>\n<p>The three artists will present their\u00a0work in a series of consecutive solo exhibitions hosted in Modern Art Oxford\u2019s Project Space:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Nicholson,\u00a0<\/strong>University of Reading, 19 July \u2013 6 August 2017<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathan Caldecott,\u00a0<\/strong>Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford, 9 &#8211; 27 August 2017<\/p>\n<p><strong>Freddie Davies,\u00a0<\/strong>Oxford Brookes University, 30 August \u2013 17 September 2017<\/p>\n<p><em>Platform<\/em>\u00a0was devised in 2012 in collaboration with the Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East (CVAN) and is a partnership between five galleries; Aspex Gallery in Portsmouth, De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, Turner Contemporary in Margate, and Modern Art Oxford.
