Himid\u2019s work challenges the stereotypical depictions of black figures in art history, foregrounding the contribution of the African diaspora to Western culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Invisible Strategies<\/em> brings together a wide range of Himid\u2019s paintings from the 1980s to the present day, as well as sculptures, ceramics and works on paper.
