Find out about the other pioneering women over the coming weeks as we share their stories as part of this series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elsie McDougall (1883-1961)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>McDougall was born in London in 1883, living for part of her life in South Africa and then the USA.
