As part of Modern Art Oxford\u2019s ground floor redevelopment, we have invited acclaimed British artist Emma Hart to create a unique destination caf\u00e9, which will sit in our lower ground floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The caf\u00e9 will be based on a celebratory concept called Club Together<\/em>, which is inspired by raves and other spaces where people come together for enjoyment and self-expression. Hart\u2019s furniture in the caf\u00e9 is inspired by dancing \u201chands in the air\u201d which morph into seating, and tables that evoke disco lights throwing pools of coloured light onto the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here, the artist has created a film which explores some of the inspirations behind the caf\u00e9 and shares images of the prototype furniture and the imaginings of how the final space will look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
