Are you aged 12-14 and up for a creative challenge?
Explore the relationships between art, science and design, and contribute to an art exhibition at the gallery.
As part of his upcoming exhibition raisin_things for the Platform Graduate Award, artist James Scott will be running two online workshops for 12-14 year olds.
Activities and talks related to James’ playful and experimental artistic practice will include sketching, modelling, brainstorming and creative discussion sparked by the relationships between art, science and design.
Free, booking essential. Please book by Tuesday 18 October.
This workshop will act as part of the exhibition itself, with outcomes from the workshops contributing to the online exhibition.
There will be two workshops across the day, at 10am-12pm and 2-4pm. Each will be limited to 10 participants.
Please note: Workshop participants should be supervised by a parent/guardian during the session.
James stages quasi-scientific investigations, with the resulting, often futile experiments, working collectively to navigate a surreal space.
He gained a first class BFA from The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford in 2020 and is one of Modern Art Oxford's selected Platform Graduate Award artists. james-scott.uk
