Celebrated artist and writer David Batchelor is known for his engagement with colour, and sharing his sheer delight in the myriad brilliant hues of the urban environment. His approach is underlined by a critical concern with how we see and respond to colour in this advanced technological age. For this Future Knowledge event, Batchelor talks about his 25 year practice and shares glimpses of his sculpture being created for Oxford’s new Westgate Centre, which draws on the astrolabes of scientific history.

Before the talk, there will be a free tour led by Modern Art Oxford Duty Manager, Kay Sentance. Book the tour here.
