“I do everything myself, from the beginning, spinning the yarn, dying it, before weaving it with the heart; this is what makes it weaving art, not the art of weaving” – Hannah Ryggen
Common Threads in the Project Space invites visitors of all ages to respond creatively to the life and work of Hannah Ryggen.
Drop in for creative workshops and help weave a tapestry designed by children and volunteers from Children Heard and Seen with assistance from textile artist Victoria Perry.
A series of bookable workshops will also take place within the Project Space.
Free, drop in during gallery opening hours (excluding programmed activity time).
