CAMERON VALE

Formed in Leeds in 2013, Cameron Vale combine improvisation, prog, jazz, punk, rock and electronics into some sort of International Space Station rave soundtrack. They were recently part of the Manchester Jazz Festival for BBC Jazz on 3 and they totally blew the roof off.

WEDDINGS

WEDDINGS are a band who play multi-coloured, danceable and complex punk-ish pop for people with short attention spans. They are somehow both angular and jagged, but also really fun. They recently supported Ought and Johnny Foreigner which should give you a bit of an idea of how it will go down. They are playing ArcTangent festival in August.

Tickets are £6 in advance (book below) or £7 on the door.

Idiot King present another event on 5 August, for more information, please click here. You can book a joint ticket to both gigs below for £11.

KID KIN

Kid Kin, the solo instrumental project of Oxford-based producer Peter Lloyd, provides a creative mixture between traditional post-rock and electronic synth-pop. His debut album, released in 2013, quickly gained positive press and airplay on BBC 6Music and BBC Oxford, with the latter selecting him to play their annual showcase in conjunction with Oxford Contemporary Music. A string of shows followed, including slots at the annual Oxford Punt showcase (“easily the loudest set of the night” – Nightshift), Threshold Festival (Liverpool), Audioscope with Public Service Broadcasting, and a support slot for Californian loop-masters El Ten Eleven, showcasing Kid Kin’s impressive one-man show featuring live guitar, sampling and looping techniques.
