This event has been rescheduled. It was originally due to take place on Thursday 7 September.

In our Solar System there are 8 planets, and a myriad of moons asteroids and comets, not to mention over 3000 exoplanets that are known to be orbiting other stars in our local “galactic” neighbourhood. Yet astronomers still don’t know exactly how planets or their moons form. This talk will allow you to discover about weightlessness and why this unusual condition is so vital to understanding how planets are made.

Dr Helen Jane Fraser is Senior Lecturer in Astronomy at The Open University.
