Celebrating the opening of A Slice through the World: Contemporary Artists’ Drawings, this panel discussion in Modern Art Oxford’s Piper Gallery explores some of the themes present in the exhibition, from drawing’s negotiation of digital image cultures and technologies, to the ethics and politics of working with archival source materials.
Artists Kate Davis, Ian Kiaer, David Musgrave and Massinissa Selmani will introduce their works in the exhibition as well as their wider artistic practices. The talks will be followed by a roundtable discussion (co-chaired by Kate Macfarlane, Co-director, Drawing Room and Stephanie Straine, Curator of Exhibitions and Projects, Modern Art Oxford) that welcomes contributions from the audience.
