Made with Modern Art Oxford is a newly designed paper architectural model. It aims to introduce young visitors to the way buildings affect how we move and feel in the places where we live, play and work.
With the help of this new activity pack, visitors can explore the architecture of the gallery, see what local materials have been used in the building’s design, and discover how the individual spaces have changed over time.
This autumn, children supported by front line charities – Children Heard and Seen, and Oxfordshire Kindness Wave – will be invited to draw their ideas on these paper models during virtual visits to the gallery.
But anyone can take part! Click here to download the activity pack and get started.
This project will be featured in Responsive Space, an exhibition at the gallery showcasing hopeful and imaginative art projects created during the coronavirus pandemic. Find out more about Responsive Space here.
The activity is part of Modern Art Oxford’s introductory Arts Award, Discover for ages 7+.
