Modern Art Oxford is now open – book your tickets
Modern Art Oxford is now open. Book your free tickets.
To ensure the wellbeing of our staff, and so that all our visitors can have a safe and rewarding experience, we have put additional measures in place. Watch the video or read our full measures below.
Local COVID alert level: high
From Saturday 31 October, the city of Oxford is in Tier 2 of coronavirus restrictions. Please note, this means that you must not meet friends and family at Modern Art Oxford who you do not live with, unless you have formed a support bubble with them. To find out more, please visit: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-level-high
Entry by advanced online booking only
We have set up 15 minute arrival slots throughout each day. You need to book a free ticket for each member of your party for an available slot. Please arrive within your allotted time slot. You are then welcome to stay as long as you like, or until the gallery closes at 4pm.
A ticket will grant you access to our two new exhibitions Mariana Castillo Deball: Between making and knowing something and Responsive Space.
The gallery will now be open Tuesday – Sunday 11am – 4pm. We are not open on Mondays.
Please enter the gallery via our Pembroke St entrance and exit via St Ebbe’s Street as we have a new one-way system in place.
Please wear a face covering in the gallery for the safety of other visitors and staff.
We are limiting the number of visitors to the gallery so that you can maintain social distancing during your visit.
We will have additional hand-sanitising and washing stations throughout the building that you will be encouraged to use regularly.
Our lift will be open for visitors who are unable to use the stairs to the galleries and the Basement toilets. Only one person or group will be able to use it at a time. The lift will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Our Basement toilets will be open and cleaned regularly. Our Ground Floor toilets will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
Our shop will be open, but only accessible to visitors with a pre-booked admission ticket to the gallery. We encourage visitors not to handle merchandise that they do not intend to buy. All payments will now be done by contactless payment.
Our café will remain closed until further notice. We are working hard to put measures in place to reopen the café and will update you when we have more information.
During your visit always follow gallery staff instructions – we are here to keep you safe.
If you have any questions about our reopening measures, we would love to hear from you: firstname.lastname@example.org.
