Open Call: Simon Says/Dadda by Beverley Bennett
Artist-filmmaker Beverley Bennett is looking for 8 participants to take part in her ongoing research project Simon Says/Dadda, which is working towards the production of a new artist film of the same name.
The participants will take part in a weekend of workshops on 3-4 August with Beverley, who invites women of colour to share stories about their family relationships with men and how living in a patriarchal society effects their day to day.
The workshops will establish a nurturing and supportive network of women across the UK that platform under-represented voices and bodies in the art world.
Limited places available. Participants need to be available for the weekend workshops.

Simon Says/Dadda is a collaborative research and development project working with a community of black women across 3 regions in the UK. The final film will collect testimonial experiences of patriarchy from over 20 women of colour. The workshops encourage creativity and the sharing of the personal and political.
