Support from Patrons helps us to provide valuable art experiences for students, young people and families in conjunction with every exhibition, reaching more than 120,000 people each year.
Modern Art Oxford is a charity and every donation we receive makes a positive and genuine difference to our diverse audiences and the community around us.
Patrons enjoy a close connection with the gallery through a programme of special events including VIP dinners, coffee morning tours, private collection visits, and other highlights in the UK contemporary art calendar. Our events are fun, inspiring and informative, designed for people who wish to increase their understanding of contemporary art and artists.
In addition, Patrons receive;
- Updates via our newsletter and invitations to gallery events.
- Advanced opportunities to purchase Modern Art Oxford’s limited edition prints by emerging and renowned contemporary artists.
- Acknowledgment onsite at the gallery and on our website.
There are two ways of becoming a Patron: regular giving via standing order, or a one-off payment for the year made online, via cheque, or onsite.

All Patron’s and Director’s Circle subscription fees comprise a benefit value (the actual cost of the events provided) and an additional donation component. In accordance with HM Revenue & Customs regulation, membership to the schemes can be purchased for the benefit value price alone, however, individuals are strongly encouraged to make the annual philanthropic donation which (eligibility permitting) will qualify for Gift Aid and increase the value of the donation by 25%. Modern Art Oxford will submit appropriate claims to HM Revenue & Customs.
When you make a donation to Modern Art Oxford, we collect and store your personal data which we will use to send you relevant invitations, notifications and updates on our activities. Modern Art Oxford may hold payment and Gift Aid information you have provided for up to seven years, in line with industry financial standards. If ever a supplier of Modern Art Oxford runs their operations outside of the European Economic Area (such as CAF America or the Advanced database help desk), we will only use reputable service providers. We will only share your details with another individual with your prior agreement, and we will never sell your personal details to a third party.
