Join Modern Art Oxford’s Young Creatives Collective for the launch of Changing Geographies, a new programme exploring how young people across the UK connect with culture, creativity and place.
Co-curated and led by young people, the event brings together peers from Tees Valley Arts, Arnolfini, Kettle’s Yard and Manchester Art Gallery to share experiences and consider three key questions:
- How do you culturally connect to your place?
- How can collectivity and community help us embrace uncertainty and complexity?
- What could better regional collaboration look like?
These conversations will help shape new partnerships and creative opportunities for young people, including research trips, residencies, commissions and projects with professional artists.
Changing Geographies responds to the unequal distribution of cultural opportunities across the UK. By placing young people’s voices and experiences at its heart, the programme aims to build stronger connections between regions and create more inclusive routes into the arts.
