Slowing Down The Digital: Watercolour & Wikipedia
In this class we will use the internet to research topics, then create watercolour paintings and text-based tarot card inspired pieces.
Each class invites group discussion within a lively, social setting.
Inspired by Suzanne Treister’s major series HEXEN 2.0 and HEXEN 5.0, envision possible alternative futures and explore critical, historical, and mystical interpretations of recent technological developments. Combining a Wikipedia deep-dive with watercolour painting we will create a new iteration of the HEXEN series to spiritualise topics of surveillance, power, control and artificial intelligence.

Activities can be adapted to be seated or standing, and all activities are suitable for wheelchair users or those using mobility aids. A limited number of bursary places are available for this workshop. Please get in touch for further information.
