Win a pack of colourful Sharpies!

Posted

Our current exhibition Space Tapestry by Aleksandra Mir (24 June – 12 November) is an epic drawing telling the story of Space travel and was entirely drawn with black Sharpie pens.

Sharpie have kindly given us some packs of colourful pens to give away and we want to get you drawing!

To enter the competition, simply doodle your responses to Aleksandra Mir’s Space Tapestry on anything and with any materials you like. To be in with a chance of winning, take a picture of your doodle and post it on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook tagging Modern Art Oxford.

And that’s it! We’ll pick the lucky winners at random each week, so get drawing!

Oh and for good fun, we’ll be posting some drawings by the staff here at Modern Art Oxford – quality not guaranteed.

Need some inspiration?

You really can draw just about anything as Space really is everywhere. For instance, without Space technology we wouldn’t have solar energy, water purification systems or even vacuum cleaners. And without satellites we couldn’t use our mobile phones, watch a lot of TV or get directions through GPS!

Or as artist Aleksandra Mir has done, you could imagine what future Space travel and even Space tourism could be like – is there life out there? Will we live on the moon? Can we really Hop on da Space Buz?
