Nest Collective Residency – Okina

Òkina is an amorphous selection of musicians from Oxford who create intricate music which combines folk, jazz and electronica.

Vocal harmonies, greek bouzouki, guitar, drums, upcycled sounding objects and various other percussion instruments come together in a vibrant ensemble of sounds.

Òkina has just released their debut EP In Memory Of and they are already working on a second EP inspired by the stunning views, nature and history of the Hill End Outdoor Centre, Oxford, where the band is involved in organising Tandem Festival, an event that combines the arts with environmental sustainability.
