This summer, we’ve been asking our younger visitors what they enjoy most about being creative in, and around the city. Based on their ideas, we have entered Oxford Bus Company’s annual charity competition, offering one winning cause the chance to take over a double decker bus in 2020!
If we win, the The Art Tour Bus would be a citywide celebration of the important role that creative experiences play in every child’s development and would be designed in collaboration with local children. Our hope with bringing Oxford an Art Tour Bus is that it will introduce new audiences to all the free art activities happening across the county every single day, and promote their future proofing. More and more in the face of budget cuts, creative learning opportunities in free and accessible spaces like Modern Art Oxford are incredibly important and offer unique opportunities for lifelong learning. Oxford Bus Company buses provide an accessible, low cost and environmentally conscious way in which people can experience this exciting county. Because of this, we think a fun and accessible Art Tour Bus is the perfect way that people can start their own creative journey across the city.
